RIFE Introduces Three New Putters For
2009
Sanford, FL - RIFE
Putters has introduced three new models to their Island Series of
putters for 2009. The first two Island Series putters, the Antigua
and Barbados, were introduced early in 2008 and immediately caught
on at the retail level. Record breaking sales of these putters have
led to the introduction of the next three models in the Series: the
Abaco, Bimini, and Cayman. Rife has started shipping and these great
new models are available at RIFE retailers throughout the U.S. About
The Abaco
One of Guerin Rife's first designs in the late 90's was the 400
MidMallet that was a no hosel "Anser" style small mallet. The Abaco
is inspired by that design. This is a players mallet and similar
designs are seeing play on the PGA Tour. The Abaco was in play at
the British Open at Royal Birkdale. In many ways, the Abaco is the
mallet version of the Bimini Blade. "On Tour, we do extensive
grinding on both the heel and toe and the putter was designed to
meet the varying preferences of the tour players for this particular
design," said Matt Molloy, President & CEO of RIFE Putters.
About The Bimini
The Bimini Blade is Rife's version of the classic 8802 so it is the
truest of blade putters but designed with subtle variations that
make it uniquely a RIFE design. As we like to say, "making the
classics with a flair." There is a slight raised toe and of course
RIFE's patented RollGroove Face Technology. But unlike every other
putter RIFE makes, the Bimini does not have a vertical alignment
notch on the back edge of the top line. "We wanted to be certain
that this one was designed for the true traditionalist," said
Molloy. The Bimini features half milled 304 stainless steel
construction.
About The Cayman
The final addition to the RIFE Island Series is a classic cavity
blade style putter that will appeal to golfers looking for a more
traditional look and feel. The new Cayman, is 100% CNC milled from
soft 304 stainless steel and features the company's patented
RollGroove Technology face producing the truest and quickest "roll"
in golf.
From a design standpoint the Cayman features a raised top line
toward the toe and a "sound slot" at the base of the cavity behind
the face that produces a subtle "click" sound at impact and a clean
supple feel. Its mid-slant hosel produces a toe-ward weight bias
promoting an open to close swing path so common among the greatest
players in golf.
About RIFE Putters
All of RIFE's Putters, including the new Two Bar Hybrid, are high-end
CNC milled putters that offer the same patented RollGrooveTM Technology
and patent pending Lie-Aline System.
RIFE Putters, LLC is the true innovator behind horizontal grooved face
putter technology with a patent on specifically sized grooves since
1997. These precisely spaced grooves allow the putter to gently press
into the cover of the ball and grip and lift it into an instant forward
roll. Guerin Rife states, "just as grooves in irons help control spin so
do grooves in a putter face." Other companies are now trying to imitate
this patented technology but the spacing of the grooves is the true key
to the gripping and lifting effect of grooved face putter technology.
Horizontal RollGrooveTM faced putters create the truest "no skid" roll
in golf no matter where you hit the ball on the putter face.
