Graphite Design To Introduce Its New Premium Tour AD DI – Deep
Impact Shaft To be introduced at the 2010 PGA Merchandise Show
in Orlando later this month.
SAN DIEGO, CA – January 11, 2010 – Graphite Design,
maker of some of the most widely played premium shafts on the PGA TOUR,
announced today that it will unveil the new Tour AD DI – DEEP IMPACT shaft
at the 2010 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, FL January 27 – 30.
Designed to provide more power and stability, the
Tour AD DI shaft, manufactured exclusively at Graphite Design Japan, has
been integrated with Toray Company’s new Nanotechnology material in the tip
section of the shaft. This unique tip technology creates optimal launch and
spin conditions to produce increased accuracy and distance. The shaft made
its debut on the major Tours in the fall of 2009 and has already been put
in play in competition by numerous professional golfers. Tour players have
been impressed by the fact that when using the Tour AD DI shaft they can
increase ball speed and accuracy without giving up distance.
The mid bend profile of the Tour AD DI allows the
player to load the shaft properly, yet maintains a firm enough tip section
through impact, producing optimal spin and launch conditions. Golfers using
the shaft will experience the feel of the ball leaving the club head with a
lot of speed while maintaining exceptional feel and control.
“We have been testing the Tour AD DI on the major
Tours for several months and are extremely pleased with the feedback we
have received,” said Mr. Tak Yamada, VP of Sales & Marketing, Graphite
Design. “Players are giving it a try in their drivers and then using it in
their fairway woods as well. We anticipate more professionals switching to
the Tour AD DI as the 2010 season gets underway. We designed this shaft to
deliver players to the next level in shaft performance and create an
impressive impact on their games and we feel we have succeeded in that
mission.”
The Tour AD DI shaft carries the Tour AD moniker
which stands for Tour Accuracy and Distance and has long been known for
high quality and superior performance. This is represented by the company’s
success that has been documented by professionals and amateurs alike.
Graphite Design is the most dominant shaft on the JPGA Tour and has been
for the past seven years.
The new Tour AD DI shaft is available in four models:
The 50 gram Tour AD DI 5 (R2, R1, and S flexes); The 60 gram Tour AD DI 6
(SR, S, and X flexes); The 70 gram Tour AD DI 7 (S and X flexes); and The
80 gram Tour AD DI 8 (S and X flexes).
The new shaft will be available for testing at the
PGA Merchandise Show Demo Day on Wednesday, January 27 at Orange County
National Golf Center and Lodge in Orlando, FL. Show attendees can also test
the Tour AD DI shaft at the Equipment Test Center at Hitting Bay #3 during
