Mizuno Takes Distance To New Heights With The MX-1000 Irons Featuring
Hot Metal Technology
Exotic Face Material Provides The Ultimate In Distance And Forgiveness
Norcross, GA
(November 3, 2009) - Mizuno, maker of the world's finest irons,
introduces the new MX-1000™ irons featuring revolutionary Hot Metal
face technology for game improvement performance never before seen. Hot
Metal Technology in the MX-1000 irons features a very thin, strong, and
hot ES230 maraging steel face, a first for iron design in the United
States, plasma welded to a high tech stainless steel body, resulting in
super high COR numbers and a massive MOI for amazing distance and
forgiveness in your iron shots.
Along with the revolutionary Hot Metal face technology, the MX-1000s
utilize innovative Hollow Technology construction with strategically
placed internal weighting that further enhances MOI, providing maximum
forgiveness all across the face. An additional benefit of Hollow
Technology construction is a super low and deep COG, which delivers and
easy, high and straight ball flight
"Mizuno is once again at the forefront of breakthrough technology in
iron performance," said Dick Lyons, Vice President and General Manager,
Mizuno USA Golf Division. "The Hot Metal Technology in the MX-1000s
utilizes an extremely hot face material, ES230 steel, which is being
utilized in an iron for the very first time in the United States. From
swing one, players are going to be amazed by the unbelievable distance
the MX-1000s deliver. The ball jumps off the face with ease, and the
result is extremely long, high and straight iron shots. "
Additional features of the new MX-1000 irons include a wide sole with a
rolled leading edge and aggressively beveled trailing edge which
greatly reduces digging to deliver pure ball striking from all types of
lies, and a durable double nickel chrome plated finish with a finely
detailed electroformed medallion for an impressive and exotic look.
Modified
U-grooves, designed to conform to Condition of Competition 2010,
produce the ideal spin rate for maximum playability in all conditions.
