CARMEL, Ind., Jan. 5, 2010 - The owners of Prairie
View Golf
Club, an 18-hole championship golf course in Carmel, Ind.,
announced today the selection of KemperSports™ to manage
all golf course, golf academy and clubhouse operations. The
Robert Trent Jones Jr. design, which is located just 20 miles
northeast of Indianapolis, is KemperSports' first property in the
state. The Northbrook, Ill.-based premier golf course
management company
now oversees more than 90 golf
courses in 29 states and Puerto Rico.
"KemperSports has a national reputation for providing
outstanding management services to some of the top courses
in the country," said golf course owner Jim Ackerman. "We
believe that partnering with KemperSports will help further
cement Prairie View's reputation as the pre-eminent daily fee
course in the state of Indiana."
Since being built more than 10 years ago, Prairie
View Golf Club has been considered one of the finest golf courses in the
state and has received numerous accolades including being named the No. 1
daily fee golf course in Indiana by Golfweek and the No. 6 golf course
(including private clubs) in the state by Golf Digest.
Prairie View also boasts one of the most respected
golf training academies in the Midwest. Its 20-point video analysis system
allows for the instructional staff to develop a comprehensive program
designed for players of every skill level.
"Prairie View Golf Club is a first-class facility
featuring one of the best public golf courses in the state," said
KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. "We are excited about this opportunity to
extend the golf course's legacy of providing an exceptional golf
experience."
When creating Prairie View Golf Club in 1997,
renowned architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. blended 18 holes of traditional
golf design into the natural beauty of the landscape created by the rolling
prairie and towering oaks and sycamores that characterize the site on the
banks of the White River. The property is enhanced by a clear running
stream that meanders through four holes, natural wetlands and five serene
lakes placed strategically throughout the course.
