available to golfers such as the Coronado Golf Club. This golf
club is the first club that was build outside of Panama City
and has 18 holes of championship gold and open to the public.
This course was designed by Tom and George Fazio and
rated at par 72. Club de Golf de Panama is the oldest golf
course in Panama and is a private 18 hole par 70 course.
Tucan Country Club and Resort has an par 72 18 hole
course
that boasts great views of ships and the skyline of Panama
City. Summit Golf and Resort is located right near the
Panama Canal. This course was built in the 1930's and was
redesigned by Jeffery Myers and constructed by Gregori
International. This is a par 72, 18 hole golf course that was originally
frequented by American workers building the Panama Canal. This is located
on the East bank of the Panama Canal.
Another golf course of note is Manta Ray Golf course
located in the Decameron Resort which is in Fallon and boasts an 18 hole
course designed by Randall Thompson. This is right next door to the Royal
Decameron. Vistamar Resort currently has 9 holes open with plans for
another 9 to open soon. You also can't beat the views from this particular
golf course. Now Quebrada Grande Golf Course is located in Valle Escondido
Resort. It only has 9 holes, but because there are two tee boxes for each
hole it makes it an 18 hole, par 60 golf course.
You also have options in Azuero peninsula for golf.
This is a 9 hole course and the cheapest golf course in Panama. One other
course of note is an 18 hole, par 73 course located in Boquete in the
Chiriqu? Province. This is just a short list of the golf courses that are
available to those who want to play golf in Panama when vacationing here.
The weather here is seasonable as well as tropical. With the low costs
associated with either living or vacationing in Panama, you can see why
this is a place that many golfers love to play, no matter if it is 9 holes
or 18.
