Winter Haven, FL - The Country Club of Winter Haven, located just
outside Orlando, has rolled out new membership categories ahead of
its projected early-December re-opening.
Among the equity and non-equity membership options for individuals, families, companies and non-residents: full, golf, tennis/sports and social.
Earlier this summer, renowned architects Rees Jones and Bill Bergin were selected to re-design the 18-hole golf course, including tees, greens and bunker modernization; irrigation and drainage installation; and bridge restoration.
Nicknamed "The Open Doctor," Jones has designed or re-designed more than 170 courses, including hosts of seven U.S. Opens and PGA Championships, four Ryder Cups, two Walker Cups and a President's Cup. Baltursol, Bethpage Black, Congressional, Hazeltine, Pinehurst Nos. 2 and 7, Torrey Pines and Oakland Hills are among the celebrated layouts.
BCG is overseeing the comprehensive club renovation project in several phases with upgrades to the existing clubhouse, pool and tennis facilities. The company will provide turnkey management of CCWH operations, golf course and property maintenance, member programs, sales, marketing and public relations, staffing and training, merchandising, restaurant and banquet activities, special events, golf instruction and financial management.
During construction, members of the new CCWH will enjoy reciprocal privileges at other area clubs.
"Members will be wowed by the renovations and we're excited to unveil exceptional golf and social experiences for everyone," says Randy Houseman, General Manager of CCWH. "Membership categories are tailored to special interests and individuals, families and businesses."
Approximately 100 CCWH core founding members recently came together to acquire ownership of the property, formerly owned by Lake Region Yacht & Country Club.
