Balance-Certified Golf's New Adjustable Moment Of Inertia
Shaft Stabilization Technology Deemed to Conform to the USGA's Rules
of Golf
HARVEST, Ala. (May 11, 2009) - Balance-Certified Golf, inventor of the
number one shaft weighting system on Tour, received word from the USGA
recently that their latest innovative Adjustable Moment Of Inertia
Technology (AMT) called the "AMT Shaft StabilizerTM" conforms to USGA's
rules of golf. The new AMT technology can be easily adjusted by the
customer for course conditions and desired ball flight characteristics.
Two versions of the AMT Shaft StabilizerTM are currently available, one
for putters and one for full swing clubs. Both versions can be expertly
fitted by Balance-Certified's existing network of master fitters or, the
customer can purchase a kit that includes the AMT Shaft StabilizerTM and
installation tools.
In full swing clubs, the AMT Shaft StabilizerTM can be adjusted to
enhance a fade or draw. Or, it can be adjusted to reduce a slice or
hook. It is quickly adjusted by simply releasing the sliding weight
locking screws and moving the weights to the desired position. In
putters, the AMT Shaft StabilizerTM can dramatically affect swing timing
and rhythm by creating a lighter or heavier head weight feel.
Positioning the weights far apart enhances swing repeatability in both
full swing clubs as well as putters.
Jeff Lindner, Balance Certified's President, noted that the "AMT Shaft
StabilizerTM is a natural extension of our existing patented
technologies. In a nutshell, the AMT Shaft StabilizerTM increases MOI of
the butt end of any golf club by as much as 6327 g-cm2. The improved MOI
increases controllability of the club, generating great improvement in
shot consistency and repeatability. However, we specifically designed
this new technology to be easy to fit and adjust. It fits in nearly all
manufacturers' shafts and is very customer friendly due to its
functional and simple to adjust design."
John Cranston, Balance-Certified VP added, "We are excited about this
new AMT technology because it can dramatically improve a player's game.
I see it nearly every time I fit a high or low handicapper or a PGA Tour
pro. The bottom line is that this AMT technology can provide the final
level of ultimate club fitting by allowing the fitter or the customer to
tune his club to his specific swing characteristics or even course
conditions. For our professional club fitters, the AMT Shaft
StabilizerTM will help them to build their reputations and, more
importantly, generate repeat customers that return to their fitting
centers time after time to receive the very latest technological
advantage. The bottom line is that the adjustable AMT Shaft StabilizerTM
results in improved swing consistency which equates to more ball strikes
with the club head's sweet spot."
Balance-Certified Golf's industry-leading shaft-weighting technology was
developed by a former NASA engineering team. Their technology introduces
strategically-located weights that can be used to adjust a golf club's
vibration and response characteristics and can be installed on any brand
of golf equipment and any club in the bag. Balance-Certified's
scientific approach to golf club dynamics helps transform "feel" into a
definable and tunable parameter. Independent testing has demonstrated
that the Balance-Certified Golf system delivers increased ball speed in
drivers, greater iron play control and a tangible benefit in "feel" and
distance control of putters.
Balance-Certified Golf's AMT Shaft StabilizerTM weighting system can be
installed by club fitters or by individual golfers with the self-fit
kit. Balance-Certified Golf systems can be found at many retail golf
shops across the U.S. and elsewhere.
