CyberLinksGolf.com announces the re-launch of its website!
In an effort to make its website more user friendly and to streamline video
content CyberLinksGolf.com, the Internet's most diverse video golf course
directory has re-launched with a new look, more golf articles and has added
Flash video to replace all Windows Media content.
Alan Hunter, a partner in Hunter Southwest Productions, the parent company of
CyberLinksGolf.com says the increasing number of visitors each day made it
necessary to switch over from Windows Media to Flash Video. Hunter says; "At the
start of 2008 nearly 1-billion computers world-wide had the capability to view
Flash-related material. It loads easier and at this point in time looks a lot
better." Another reason for the change was to make navigating the site for
visitors simpler as well. According to Hunter; "as we enter our second year with
CyberLinksGolf we are looking at a huge upside in growth, so redesigning the
site has helped to stream-line the management of information. "
Not only does CyberLinksGolf offer video overviews of some of the country's
finest golf courses, but it also offers video golf tips from PGA Professionals
from around the country, as well as video fitness tips from certified golf
fitness instructor Mindi Boysen. "For past 4 years we have been producing the
weekly television show Golf America and our video library contains nearly 200
hundred golf courses" Hunter says, "last year we decided to take that footage of
those courses and create the Internet's only "video based" golf course
directory. Today we have about 50 courses on the site and by year's end we're
projecting to add three times as many. I can recall when the Internet was only
text-based, then came the addition of photos and audio, now we are entering a
period where video seems to be the dominant force behind today's Web."
Hunter says the goal of CyberLinksGolf is two-fold, one is to provide the
consumer direct access to visual content, helping them to plan their next golf
outing and secondly to offer course operators an affordable way to incorporate
professionally produced video into their marketing strategy. "For the past five
years we seen significant changes not only in the golf industry but in the way
so many other industries have used the Internet to market their products and
services. Golf operators are in a unique position when it comes to video
content, every golfer out there is always looking for the next place to tee it
up, and having video of your golf course on our site, can help to book that tee
time. It amazes me" Hunter says, "how many people I have run into recently who
have seen our videos whether on our site, or a client's site and booked their
golf outing based on this visual information."
