NEW BEDFORD, Mass., November 16, 2009 - AHEAD, a leader in branded
headwear, apparel and accessories, announced today it has renewed its
sponsorship as the official headwear provider of the American Junior
Golf Association (AJGA) through 2011.
"We enjoy working with the AJGA and are proud to support the
development of young men and women golfers and the future of the game,"
said Ken Shwartz, CEO, AHEAD. "By introducing them to AHEAD at an early
age, we hope they will remain fans of our brand throughout their
golfing careers. The AJGA does an incredible job at not only making
them better golfers through the spirit of competition but also
well-rounded individuals."
2010 will mark AHEAD's eighth consecutive year as a sponsor of the
AJGA. As part of the agreement, every AJGA member receives a custom
AHEAD cap with their membership. AHEAD will also outfit the AJGA staff
with headwear and continue to be the exclusive headwear supplier of all
AJGA tournaments. The popular Extreme Fit Twill and Tech Performance
cap will be the two styles offered in 2010.
"AHEAD has been a wonderful sponsor for us over the years and we are
excited to continue this relationship," said Jason Etzen, AJGA's
executive vice president of corporate partnerships. "The AHEAD caps are
always a favorite among our tournament gifts. They do an outstanding
job with the styles and ornamentation and the kids really enjoy wearing
them."
The 2010 AJGA season kicks off with its first event Nov. 21-27, 2009 at
PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
