Golf Saved My Life

For Larry Celano golf was an after-thought, a game he didn't take up until he became confined to a wheel chair. Celano was serving his country during the invasion of Panama back in the 80's when a tragic accident happened - another soldier accidentally discharged his weapon, leaving Larry paralyzed from the waste down. During his rehabilitation process Larry took up the game of golf. Now golf is his life.

The Dean of Modern Golf Course Design

Robert Trent Jones Sr. was a pioneer in so many different ways. While attending Cornell University, where he designed his own course of study to become a professional golf course designer. His professional career in the U.S. was a collaboration with golf legend Bobby Jones designing the Peachtree Golf Club in Atlanta. Jones was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1987.

Don Cherry - The Golfer

In 1953 Don won the Canadian Amateur which allowed him to compete ` in the 1953 Walker Cup. He won for the U.S. He finished 1953 as a semi-finalist in the Southern Amateur and was honored as a member of the U.S. team in the America’s Golf Cup. His music career was taking off as well. He recorded the hit “Vanity” for Decca Records which shot straight up to the top of the charts.
